Can you trust McAfee Safe?
May 20th, 2008 by Andreas from Xavier Media® in Antivirus & Security. Topics: McAfee, NewsIn the beginning of this year antivirus and security company McAfee acquired Scanalert, a company that certify if a site is safe from hacking or not. Now one of the anti-fraud researchers at Scanalert is himself suspected for fraud
The researcher is facing fraud charges in Indiana, not only once but 11 times for security fraud!!! The fraudulent transactions is said to have resulted in about $1.2 million in profit for the researcher and his brother.
The Scanalert service Hacker Safe (or McAfee safe as it's now renamed to) prove to potential customers that web sites they're visiting have been tested for vulnerabilities and are unlikely to have been hacked by online fraudsters. Now the question is how accurate is the actual testing?
McAfee has so far not published anything about these frauds that we've found out

Your site is not an official McAfee site right? Your links to McAfee from that site are TradeDoubler links so I take it as you're just an affiliate.
