How much more can the Icelandic Krona go down?

October 15th, 2008 by Andreas from Xavier Media® in Ecommerce. Topics:

Have you checked the currency exchange rate for the Icelandic Krona (ISK) lately? If not you really should. It's sky rocketed into the grown like a drunk bird.

Up until the end of September the exchange rate between USD and ISK was pretty stable with just a few fluctuations, but about a week ago when the collapse of several Icelandic banks became a fact the exchange rate went pretty much into the ground.

Luckily the .IS top level domain is gaining in number of hosted pages, what-ever good that's doing to the Icelandic economy right now. Hopefully more pages hosted at .IS domains means that they are building more online shopping sites to sell their products and services :D

Lets just hope Iceland can solve their problems soon.
