Internet Explorer under attack
December 16th, 2008 by Andreas from Xavier Media® in Antivirus & Security. Topics: Microsoft, Web browsersIf you haven't changed to Firefox already here's something that may motivate you: Microsoft is warning users on their blog that the number of attacks on Internet Explorer have increased.
The number of attacks have increased dramatically since the release of a bug in Internet Explorer affecting IE5.01, IE6, IE7 and IE8 beta 2.
Web servers are attacked so they distribute dangerous code giving the hackers access to victims computers.
According to Trend Micro over 6000 web sites are already spreading this evil code. Luckily a security update is available from Microsoft since yesterday so hurry up and get it.
