Have you seen the new graphs at Compete.com?
May 20th, 2009 by Andreas from Xavier Media® in Domain names, Statistics. Topics:Some time ago (I think I noticed it a couple of weeks ago) Compete.com upgraded their traffic graphs to be flash based instead of the static PNG images they used to be. This is is a really nice move since flash graphs provide more flexibility and also more information to the users about specific domain names.

If we have a look at the graph for April for XavierMedia.com (this domain
), we'll see that we had 32,500 unique US visitors in April by just holding the mouse pointer over the graph. By moving the mouse pointer to another month you'll see the exact number of visitors at that month. This wasn't possible with the old PNG images they had since then you had to look at the lines in the graph and to a rough guess.
They still have the old PNG graphs if you for example use the link "embed graph" found on each information page for the domain names. The old graphs are perfect if you need a way to show how many US visitors you have at your site, and also have the graph updated once per month. This is especially perfect if you want to show for example your advertisers and estimate of how many visitors they should expect when they buy advertising from your site:

I like the new layout. One of my complaints about the site before was just as you mentioned – the png file was static and didn't communicate any active information. With the new flash code, you can hover over each month and see a number of different details about your site (unique visitors, page views, referred by, etc.)
Thanks for reminding me about compete.co, and congrats on some super stats!
