Entrecard – Is anyone still using?
July 10th, 2009 by Andreas from Xavier Media® in Advertising & Marketing, Statistics. Topics: Entrecard, TwitterI recently got an interesting question on Twitter from Darren Singleton:
darrensingleton@xaviermedia do people still use entrecard?
Xavier Media is still using Entrecard on some of our blogs, but we never drop any cards any more. We haven't dropped cards in a few months (at least not in any big scale; less than 5 per month).
To find out if people have been abandoning Entrecard, we had a look at the latest statistics from Compete.com:
As you can see above they dropped half a million US visitors from May to June(!!!!) and they have been losing traffic for three months in a row.
One of the big turn-offs with Entrecard is the new marketplace where you can sell stuff for credits, but unfortunately the marketplace is not working at all. If someone buys something and doesn't approve the transfer/delivery the seller wont get any credits. Entrecard is offering an option where you can have a moderator to mediate the sale, but that process is not working at all. Xavier Media have had sales in "mediation" since the start of the marketplace a couple of months ago
If Entrecard is not improving soon we may have to do as the rest of their users, drop them for good….
