Even if March 15th 1985 may seem like a long time ago, symbolics.com wasn't the first domain name ever. Nordu.net was actually registered a few months earlier, on January 1st 1985
To celebrate this fantastic birthday in Internet history Verisign, the operator of the .com TLD, will hold a policy-focused event in Washington, DC on March 16. They will also create 4 research grants of $75,000 each that will be awarded to those who show the most promise to shape the next 25 years of .com [1]. The top 75 people and companies who have made the most notable impact in shaping the Internet will also be announced by Verisign.
Xavier Media got it's first .com domain name back in 1996 (on December 7th to be exact). When did you get your first .com?
