End-of-the-World Clock from RoswellUFOs.com
April 21st, 2010 by Andreas from Xavier Media® in Miscellaneous, The World According to Xavier, Xavier Media. Topics:The Mayan calendar is ending on the 21st of December 2012 and by some this is taken as a sign that the world will end in December 2012 (just have a look at the movie 2012). Even Nostradamus is mentioning 2012 in his predictions, so something is going to happen in 2012.
According to Nostradamus a comet called Nibiru will impact somewhere in the Mediterranean (perhaps in Greece) and cause a tsunami. If this is true or not is hard to say, but it's a prophesy and some of them have happened in the past so you never know.
Some people say the sun will have increased activity during 2012 causing solar flares. It's hard to say if this will happen or not and what impact it will have on us on Earth if it actually happens.
So to help everyone to keep track on how many days there are left until the 21st of December 2012 we've created a small piece of banner code showing the number of days left. You can easily copy and paste the code into your own homepage or blog if you want to show your own visitors how long they have left until the magic date.
This is what the banner looks like and it's updating every day to show the correct number of days:
If you click on the banner you get to the "clock page" explaining what this is all about. You can also get the code for the banner at that page.

Hey Xavier, Interesting post a little scary but interesting. I'm so not into these prophesy for the mere fact that they scare the you know what out of me. I guess you could call me a turtle, I'd rather hide my head inside my shell and not come out until I have to or it's over with. However I'm not naive enough to recognize that some of these prophesies may indeed come to be. Thanks for getting us all to think about the future. jj

We've had an internal discussion here and none of us really believe these prophesies. But from a programming perspective it's fun to take a picture and write text on it dynamically, so we did this because we like experimenting with code ;D
This end-of-the-world clock is also a nice link baiting trick

Well… I still find it hard to believe in Astrology…It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves; we are underlings.

see buddies ,
this all is nonsense i dont believe this as there is no proof till now the scientists are just fake ………as they cant say that God is there till now where is the proof…………in science there is nothing called GOD they say it is just kind of fake thinking they say it is a stone creature nothing else……………………..
so dont have any tension as if anything would happen it would not only happen to us but to hole earth………..
so live your life cheerfully and do
WHAT YOU WANT TO DO BEFORE YOU DIE:)

I wouldn't call it completely fake since the Mayans believed in it and their calendar actually ends in 2012. But as always with these kind of things you need to make your own assessment and ask the question "do I believe in it". What the Mayans meant by end of the world and what we mean in todays society may be completely different (and I would actually be surprised if we meant the same thing).
