Most of you already know about the WordPress plugin Akismet and you may also laready use it to stop spam in your WordPress blog. But recently we’ve discovered that the plugin is not working as good as it used to.
When we started using the plugin it stopped 100% of all spam we got in our blogs, but in November we got a few spam messages that ended up in the moderation queue. In December we saw an increase of that number and now in January Akismet is missing completely obvious messages like these:
We can see the same trend on all our blogs using Akismet, and we’re looking forward to a bug fix or maybe even a better plugin.
